Wareham BH20 5NQ, 01929 480 357 www.newinn-churchknowle.co.uk/
WOW.... rain, wet, floods, fallen trees, followed with a Carvery, all for £9.95, simply to say that 14 "R26 tough members" navigated their way to the New Inn, all enjoying our 2nd yummy pub lunch this month.

Deep breath, then drive!!!!
>> 19th April 2012  -  G.A.Hotel - R26 Monthly Meeting
23 made it to the meet on a very wet evening, including 100% attendance by Max since his birth....... after a lengthily time to catch up and chat by the bar, we moved into the Elizabeth Suite, in Tref's absence, (as he is with other R26 members on a Porsche factory tour) Geoff brought us to attention, yes attention!!!

Firstly we gave a warm welcome to Simon Hickie and his 3.2 Targa, warning him of the interest Paul B will have in his car. Then Geoff briefly shared some info on the recent workers conference and AGM, including a summary of the leavers, and joiners of the clubs board.

Then onto our demanding 2012 events list, forthcoming pub lunch, our concours, as well as R15's and R17's. Our annual BBQ in June.
Then Chris H shared the latest on the F.O.S arrangements, names, times, cars and camping, no not "camp"ing!!!! But we have tent accommodation available for the event.

Concluding with the National event, all on tarmac this year, but no regional stands this year. As the meeting was drawing to a end, Geoff introduced Graham, an amateur photographer, who is prepared to take pictures of our prized car's, and print it for a nominal fee, with a suggested donation of £5 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

>> 01st April 2012  -  13.00 Scenic Drive followed by a pub Lunch
The Bridge House Hotel, Prout Bridge, Beaminster.

At around 11.45, many members were already at the G.A.Hotel, to share in a chat and coffee before heading of at 12.15 prompt, for the lunch.
Several cars left in convoy, which was our 1st convoy one of 2012, a sight, any Porsche owner would never get bored of.
On route, we took in the exhaust sounds of our cars as we, with windows down, ears primed, drove through the long tunnel........ that's was one sense satisfied, hearing......  now just to please our taste buds . . . . .

Mark was on hand to welcome us, with a welcome drink, also introducing us to Tim and Stevie, Tim, the proud owner of a new 997 Carrera 4 GTS in white.....

What more delights could this function throw up after that!!!!! Well, you wont believe this, but Max Well's turned up, with his mum and dad in toe, at the grand old age of 13 days, even wearing a Porsche top... wow... trump that!!!!

Now, the time had arrived for the 22 & 1/8 of us attending, to be seated in the conservatory and share in each others company while enjoying the lovely food Mark and his team create. As always the foods presentation was top draw, and tasty, with a yum factor of 10....
After our relaxing meals, we decamped to the gardens to enjoy a coffee or tea, extending the time we were sharing, chilling in the glorious sunshine, simply, a perfect day.

>> 15th March 2012  -  G.A.Hotel - R26 Monthly Meeting
    Ruth's Quiz night
22 meet on a misty evening, after chatting and sharing a smile with each other, as well as applauding Karl and Maria for attending as Maria is with child, an immanent birth . . . we ushered into our meeting room and Tref brought us to order, firstly we welcomed Ken D to the fold, a man with a long and varied Porsche car ownership stories.

Then straight into Ruth's Quiz, a very clever quiz, where we had to guess a hidden phrase or saying from the clues...... we had three clever clogs, Mathew, Karl and Tref on 20/24, after some tough tie breakers, Karl won a bottle of win, Tref 2nd with a yummy box of biscuits.

Then after a bar and loo pit stop, onto the meeting proper, congratulations to Louise M on the HOT NEWS that she, and Gary are to be parents in August....... Wow what a fertile region we are, young ones to take over from us oldies!!! So at least two young potential, PCGB members this year..... WOW.....

Tref mentioned the Porsche factory visit in April,  another detailed insight to 2012's Goodwood FOS, help needed from the Wednesday to the following Monday. Our next event, scenic drive and lunch at Marks Hotel.......

We were also pleased and thankful to P.C.Bournemouth for printing our 2012 flyers, so we can encourage other Porsche owners if we see them while out and about..... GREAT...... So, another fun and rewarding club night......

>> 03rd March 2012  -  Slot Car Racing
Millstream Model Raceway, 11 Millstream Trading Est, Christchurch Rd, Ringwood, BH24 3SB 01425 489939

Four Porsche set out from D.F.Club, to meet others for a late breakfast at the "Roadside Cafe BH21 3HA" 01202 849890, all yumming up a FULL ENGLISH while sharing in deep and meaningful chat!!! (ok, car drivel!!) all for just £6.95, and so tasty.....
We were made up to see Robin and Ruth rock up in a silver Cayenne, retuning into the Porsche family, GREAT.......
Then around 12.40, it was time to load up the cars, and head off for the track, the slot car track, for 90 min's of trigger happy fun.......

14 R26er's meet up to enjoy the fun, we were put into teams of two, I wanted my team to be called, buff and show, but in translation that got changed into Polishers, but Claire was able to stick with here name of Pit Babes, even though Geoff was her partner!!!!!  Go Geoff......
Mark and Louis put in the only family team, so, now for the FUN, we had seven heats, where half way though, drivers would swap over, those not driving were "car putter, on-er's" this at times looked like the Dad's race, at a school sports day!!! as we were all so keen to get our cars back on track, without fail.....
So whether you were the driver or not, we all shared in so much fun, even, at one point getting the Scalextric advert song sung to us (can you remember that tune!).

From round 5 of the 7/the end, three teams were almost neck and neck on laps covered, I for one, was getting a ikkle dizzy with it all, the concentration required was TOTAL.  Then during the final phase silence took over (even I) as two teams raced for the line, Polishers & Pit Babes, and as if by magic, Kevin and I, the Polishers won....... And to our surprise, we were presented with a trophy, what a day of fun.

After we had all calmed and composed ourselves, most of us headed off to look round Porsche C Bournemouth, to look at the current models on show, to end the day, where some of our Porsche lives, began!.......

>>   18th Feb 2012 - Skittles Competition Vs Woolbridge Motor Club
Southern Counties Lodge (next to G.A.Hotel), Our 7th “friendly contest!!!!”

As always over the last seven competitions, W.M.C had a l
arge number of supporters/players at the evening. All, coming along as did the R26er's, to share in another fun event, so a massive 47 in all, took to the skittle floor for a fun filled evening, W.M.C were up 1st, putting a very respectable score for us to try and match or beat . . . . .  when our players did their bit for the region, it was fun to see how each approached the task in hand, Tam (who scored our highest score out of the ladies 13(7+6), had the best . . . you should ask her for future bowling advice......
Karl, got our highest score out of the men 17(8+9), after the 1st of two rounds, we trailed W.M.C by a small margin (phew).......

Then a pause for the yummy food, Chicken, Scampi or Steak & Kidney Pie with pies . . . .  both Maria and I had to guard our pie's from the converting eyes of Chris and Tref . . . who were drawled in envy......
Everyone enjoyed their yum, and prepared to bowl with a Full tum, tum.

Prior to the event many participants provided raffle prizes, Claire did stirling work in offering the raffle tickets to all . . .  Also, we had all loved the special moments, of watching Troy (age2) having the time of his life rolling the balls down the return tunnel.... as if were magic, how the balls re-appeared....

Then time for the 2nd round, this time W.M.C took on a stronger lead that we never matched, we ended the game gracefully with a loss of 27 points, 280 Vs 253.

After Tref thanked all playing so well, Geoff to the helm, for the raffle, we all raised £86.00 for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, a charity R26 has supported for over seven years now.

We ended the night with smiles after another successful, eventful evening, and PCGB members looking forward to our slot car event . . . .

>>   16th Feb 2012 - G.A.Hotel - Monthly meet
19 R26er's attended, to Celebrate our 7th Anniversary of the Dorset region, after chats and drinks we went in for the "formal bit", Tref spoke of our forthcoming event on Saturday, our 7th Skittles event Vs Woolbridge Motor Club, we have a respectable 45 players booked . . . wow  . . .
Then onto a fandabidozi slot car afternoon, a drive and lunch at Mark's Hotel, the revamping of our regional flyer lunch.

Then a detailed presentation about our running/supporting the Goodwood FOS, Chris and Tref to organise.
Then, the potentional to dribble came!!! No, not the arrival of Angelina Jolie (for the men) or  brad pitt (for the ladies), but the fantastic opportunity to go on a Porsche Factory visit, ........ flip!!!!! really!!!!!

After the formals...... we all shared in chat and chuckles, it was great to see Robin and Ruth in attendance . . . and Karl and Maria, with Maria on the verge of bestowing us with another Porsche fan . . .

>>   19th Jan 2012 - G.A.Hotel
What a start to the years events, 22 R26er's attended our 1st meeting, seeing in the NEW Yr.....
We were pleased to welcome two new members, after a time of chat and hand shaking, we went into our meeting room, where all were asked if they were pleased with what Santa had brought them........
Claire was the only one to say, Santa had satisfied her.

Then, when our ribs were hurting to the normal regional level, Tref brought us to order, we all expressed how much we were missing Geoff, especially Louise.

Tref took us through our 2012 events list, with my constant interruptions from me, of times and prices, till June, our imminent skittles match, an evening of slot car racing, and a scenic drive, followed by Marks yummy lunch.

We heard of a Porsche factory tour planned for the 18th April 2012, a Three Day Tour, planning to stay at the Adler Hotel, B&B. Days filled with the Factory tour + varied choices, Audi R8 OR Merc factory, a planned after dinner speaker.

Contact Tref for FULL Details as he running our regions attendance
Est £505.00pp + travel/misc, Deadline to join the tour, 20th Feb 2012

Then Chris and Tref shared all the plans for our planned help to run a stand at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed, we went through how PCGB members from several regions might man the stand, regions working in unison, the theme was, young guns, born to win..... that the stand may have a prestige car + a members car.... how we would endeavour to share our love of the region, and the club nationally, in order to encourage members to be more active, as well as recruit new members to the PCGB fold.

So as ever, a full and thought provoking meeting, with certain members salivating about certain events..........

Chetnole Inn, Sherborne, Dorset, DT9 6NU, 01935 872337
Directions - off the A37 towards Yeovil on the right, Pub opposite church in village

20 R26er's, enjoyed an extra meet, a plan for us and our cars to come and share a time in day light hours, BUT, unfortunately, it was one of the wettest days of 2011!!!! So just two Porsche were on show in the car park.

We all enjoyed a cosy Chetnole Inn, after a catching up chat in the bar, we all went through to a private dinning area, where we shared in a 3 course meal, all total YUM options . . . . followed by coffee and a choc's.

Toward the END of the meal, the word was out . . . its Christine's Birthday, so and ice cream with a candle was brought through, and Christine was taken by our high standard of singing . . . a moment to treasure  . . .

We parted in a festive mood, with thoughts of our last meeting, next Thursday,
roll on 2012, I need my R26 fix........

>>   02nd Dec 2011 - 19.30 for 20.00 Food

Our 2nd Christmas Celebrations at the G.A.Hotel, an evening for 2011's events to be remembered at our Christmas Celebrations & Dinner. We were in the Elizabethan Room, dress code was smart/casual to DJ's ........

The evening cost £25 pp, (under 16's £15 pp, benefiting from a *£10 R26 subsidy) we are pleased also pleased to offer you a special room rate of £60

As we arrived we shared in a welcome drink, followed by a three course meal with party poppers!!!  View the Menu we enjoyed. Sue and her team did sterling work, not only with the food, but also with the service.  We had 46 members / family/ friends at the evening. The tables looked stunning in black and gold. We enjoyed our meal, while a few "nawty" members blew hard to expand so noise balloons to their maximum size!!!!

During the meal we also enjoyed seeing who was captured in pixels during the year by Nick and Tref, so Geoff ran a 2011 review slide show, displaying all the events we ran/attended throughout the year . . .

Then Tref took to the floor, thanking us all as inviting Tim O'Dowd up to present our member of the year 2011 award. This was presented by Tim to Chris Hak, who was mad up to receive the award, giving us a short speech on how he feels that we are all such good friends, having made him and Sharon so welcome from day one!!

Then Geoff took to the floor, spec's on, then he meander through "all" we did as a region in 2011, when you hear it all feed back, its hard to think "did we do all that" . . . .    finishing on an upbeat note about patting ourselves on the back, as we made it all happen . .

Then Tref thanked us all and shared his and our expectations for 2012, a few of the new events we might run, this on top of our 2011 events we plan to repeat, WOW......So in summary, what a success, good giggles, good event chat, yummy food, even yummier company, a full event slide show and our 6th MOTY award, then to top that we raised £237.00 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, from our raffle, prizes donated my members and our supporting businesses.

Well do all . . . . . . . . . .

Mr Bond, pass the salt to

Tref welcomed us all, and introduced us all to Steve, from Porsche Cars Reading, Steve gave us a detailed and so, so interesting presentation about Porsche hybrids........
I for one was taken by how technical and incredibly engineered the whole, electric/Petrol design, build and integration seems, seamless in function and operation, plus lots of lovely dashboard displays to take in as you enjoy the visual technology.

Four Porsche set off from Dorch for the show, meeting up with four more, the weather was horrid, wet, wet and wet, this has been our worst year of weather in the 10 years I've been in the club.......

We looked resplendent in our crisp R26 shirt's, with our R26 car stands, it looked stunning, as it was also a VW show, there was a higher level of interest in our cars.  We were lucky enough to take shelter in our gazebo, and enjoy a lovely cake from Jo, later sharing in a picnic lunch for all provided by James and Suzy...... thank you........

Then around 1pm, when we had planned to run off home, the sun came out... yepee...... most attending entered into the best Porsche competition, Mark D was the proud winner of a lovely glass trophy.

We ended the day looking forward to our next meet, heading off to dry our socks.

Tipec BBQ and fun day, Anderwood site in the New Forest
OS Grid Reference: SU 249 058

5 Porsche departed Dorchester.F.C at 11.10 for an R26 convoy to the event, meeting up with James on route, the traffic was "mad" as there were caravans and boats on trailers everywhere......
Once parked up we had Geoff, Kevin +1, Nick, Mark D + 2, Dave C, Claire W, Susan & Brian T, James & Suzy, Geoff H, John & Wendy H enjoying the event with Nick Snook and his Tipec region.

Tipec had the BBQ in full swing, with as many burgers, sausages and soft drinks as you could manage, donations for the food and drinks went in the pot with the raffle prizes, to the Poole Hospital Charity, as ever, the Tipec raffle was one to marvel, and with no Brett there to win it all, this honour fell to Dave C, who cleared the table, the charity auction also brought in a lot of money for the charity.... well done all who helped out.

The time shared there was as friendly as ever, and as a region we were pleased to see Mark D take the 1st place in the informal concours, ouch!! I had my eye on that one, well done Mark. So our 4th time at this event was as enjoyable as ever, roll on the events we share in 2012.........

Classics at the castle - SHERBORNE CASTLE
Wow, we did beat the 14 Porsche + 1 Porsche Tractor of 2010!!
17 cars…… but, unfortunately, as last Friday at PQ11/2, we would have been better equipped with a row boat will Porsche design Oars.

We had 20 cars booked, so to the nawty three, over the regional wet knee!! You missed a great day, with good company and lots of yummy R26 home made cakes, but, at least your cars stayed clean…. He he…….. Clever “Mr Sheene” thinking……….
A special thanks to, Sharon, Maria & Josephine for getting their pinny’s on and providing the tasty cakes, Paul and Josephine’s cake even had the PCGB 50 year logo on it……..

We spent the day with ups, and wet downs, with a couple of glimpses of sun, one gazebo tried to take to the skys…….. Now that’s enough damp negatives, flipping heck, our stand was stunning, 17 Porsche laid out to judge Geoff’s spec (that’s saying summin) with our regional flag and three areas of cover. We did miss out on the PCGB 50yr signs that were promised, even so, our bunting looked good, our car detail stands were stunning, just stunning….

I’m pained to say Tref’s totally original car got a lot of attention, I think Troy must of thought it was the way 4ward for Porsche design, he quietly picked up the tent peg hammer and started on a walk towards my 996.…. O!…… Sorry, to disappoint Tref, Maria stopped him……...

Many people enjoying the show, looked in on our stand, a few who had parked their Porsche in the general parking, made sounds of being interested in joining our region, also a man from a car club where most of their “Italian cars”, are red, praised how “brill” our car info stands were.

Then, our watered down spirits were lifted as were heard an invite over the tannoy!! Please could the PCGB, Stag & Subaru club stands nominate a car to come for display outside the Castle.

I automatically swallowed my “modern Porsche” pride, and suggest Chris take up his 911 3.2 (the iconic 911 model in my mind, ouch, I‘m walking on hot coals!!!)

All agreed, it was nice to see Chris jump out his chair with a team of us, shammies in hand.

Once the car was prepared Chris drove into position, then our hard work was rewarded, we were given 2nd place for the best stand at the event…. Wow…… and our regional funds grew by £150.…… So 17 cars needing a monster clean seems worth while, well done all, roll on our next display at Larry Piper…..

We went off home, richer as a region, in many ways….. Thinking, next year, 1st place ………

July 15th - Poole Quay PQ11/2 - By Josephine Butcher

Paul and I left home at 5 o’clock for our meeting at Tesco in Dorchester, where we would travel in convoy to Poole…

And it rained and rained and rained! We arrived at 5.30, later than usual as the traffic had been so awful between Weymouth and Dorchester. We looked in surprise to see only three cars waiting when in the past there have been at least a dozen.

We set off (in the rain) and joined another queue of vehicles… and it took us an hour to get to Poole and park our Porsche 911 on the Quay.

There were about fifty cars already parked and their hardy drivers were already off to find food and drink to warm themselves up, on what should have been a lovely summer evening. The holiday-makers were huddled in the warmth of pubs and restaurants and were really not in the mood for gazing at cars (and who could blame them)!

We rushed off in search of fish and chips and felt more human after we had eaten and had a conversation about why we lived in England. We ‘strolled’ back to the Porsche and as the rain was still raining and the holidaymakers were still hiding, we decided to head for home.

Maybe the weather will be kind to us next time.

DORSET R26 - Kingston Lacy House, BH21 4EA
Our 6th Anniversary Family day and Concours

R26er's woke up, seeing a dry yet cloudy day, and headed off to the venue with a smile, (as the last 8 days had been wet) most of the helpers arrived between 09.00-09.30, well, those who set their alarm!!!!!!!
Concours entrants starting arriving just after 10.00, it was great to see some arrive from Devon, and others from Hants and Wilts.... + two new R26er's to meet and greet ......
Chat and cleaning were of the order till 12.30, then just a gentle dust off.

Entry to the R26 display area and grounds was £7 per car, once parked up, Porsche owners and their family's enjoyed the cars, the houses gardens, as well as each others company. Some enjoyed lunch by their car or in the Stable Cafe, while having enjoyed the extensive gardens, grounds and walks.

During the day, many people who had come to see the house, also walked down to our display of cars, learning from the varied owners, their Porsche model and differing ownership stories. Also enjoying the three cars PCB had on display, as well as watching Paul Roff demonstrating paintless dent removal.  During the day we also enjoyed having a slice of cake, that Maria had kindly provided,
all home made by her own fair hands, we also put our "glossy black" concours stands to use for the 1st time, ... stunning .......

Our family day was supported by Porsche Centre Bournemouth, Marque 21, Swissvax and Paul Roff.  They all helped support our raffle, donating prizes along with many R26 members.  Louise and Martin from PCB, and Martins wife and daughter joined Tim and Lisa from M21 in judging some of the many cars competing in our concours classes, see placing's below.

 16th June  -  19.30  -  G.A.Hotel - DORSET R26 Annual BBQ

Another success as 36 hungry R26er’s turned up salivating……… they had to hold back their hunger as we chatted for 40 min’s or so before the yummy food was ready……..

Then BBQ was eagerly consumed, men and woman alike loved the sausages, burgers, and chicken legs, and the few healthier members, enjoyed the varied salads and pasta…..

After the yum was gone, Tref took us through our hectic events list, reviewing recent events, Geoff I added how R15’s concours was rained off, what a GREAT evening PQ11/1 was with 123 cars. Then back to Tref, he shared the wonderful work Karl and Maria have done for our car show stands, and if at all possible to top that, their work on our R26 shirts……..

A round of applause took to the air of the room for them both, as both the shirts and stands are top draw in design and quality, and wouldn’t look out of place in the pit lane of a sports car race day, very professional.

Kevin made requests for £10 per car for Sherborne Castle, several coughed up the £‘s on night, we the discussed the PCGB main event, then Paul was invited to share about the Chickerell classic show which he is helping to organise, and of course our concours at Kingston Lacy House. After the meeting ended, our shirts were handed out, more chit chat, and then we all headed off home full of expectation for our concours on Sunday......

The three amigos put on their waterproofs, from undies up to Porsche cap, and headed off to support R15, on a day of forecasted rain, of every variety of wetness.........  on arrival at Seal Hayne (Our 1st visit here), we arrived to see soaked R15er's, but smiles were still in place as we were met, and greeted, and very welcomed as we had gone to the trouble of supporting them on this very wet day .......
We parked up and shared a chat while looking over the cars, on show, please read the R15 PP column for more info, but simply put, we had a lovely time over coffee and lunch, then all headed home with a view to re-running the concours in Sept.

>>  20th May   18.00 - 21.00   Poole Quay 2011/1

Wow, a convoy of 16 cars departed from Dorchester (inc two cars, all the way from Kent), leaving promptly at 17.30, as we left the car park two black 997 Turbo's joined on the back.... Wow squared!!!

We had a Porsche paced drive to to the Quay, as were neared the venue we were surrounded by Porsche of all ages and models. (Yippee my head screamed out).... on arrival (18.06) we joined the BIGGEST Q for the event I've ever experienced over the last 9 events, (it turned out that all had arrived early)

Poole tourism staff ushered us to our quay spaces, I ended up outside the Thistle Hotel, my thoughts worried me, that we were all they way up here by 18.18, there must be over 100 already!!!!! All those parked and mingling shared smiles of satisfaction over the sight we were all sharing/enjoying. From quay end to end, the quay oozed with glossy Porsche.

Members of the public looked on and shared conversations with owners, there were also some bikers taking interest in our 4 wheeled boyz toys. During the evening I had the pleasure of meeting Sue, and her Tipec members that had travelled on mass from Bristol, as well as local members of both Tipec and PCGB.

PCGB regions from all over the UK had members supporting the event. The weather was dry, but the wind was out in force, Ideal for boats at the quay I guess, as for boats, there were many handsome craft moored along the quay, ranging from ones that a lot of pocked money might afford, to those where you might need to sell your family for!!!!

Its was nice to be approached by many PQ veterans during the evening, with the battle scares of laughter lines, brought on by this wonderful event. Many voiced the pleasure this meet gives them and their family’s. That filled me and R26 with a lot of PCGB ownership pride.

But, unfortunately, towards the end of our time at PQ, I heard that 13 cars had been turned away from PQ11/1, (may I offer my deepest felt SORRY, as I was keenly encouraging ALL to come along, yet unknown to me/R26, spaces had been reduced to 120 cars "due to new parking restrictions and H&S!"........…)

So, in summary, another wonderful event, both members and the public sharing a lovely evening, the friendship, interest and pleasure it brought, Porsche owners sharing their ownership stories with others. Even though we had some members/owners turned away, I would like to thank Poole Quay for inviting us to help run this event.

Roll on PQ11/2 - July 15th

>> 14th May 2011 - 10.30 - Technical advice, demo and meet at Cool-It
Noel had kindly provided coffee and biscuits, while Paul Roff, the Paintless Dent Removal man gave us a live demonstration.

We had a lovely Dorset morning for the event, 19 Porsche and 27 members attended, all enjoying a chat and coffee before listening and watching Paul Roff intently, while he did his worst to a car door, (simulating ASDA trolley knocks) then demonstrating his tools and skills in removing the dents/creases inflicted, using his 11 years of
Paintless, Dent Removal, experience.
Everyone who watched Paul, was so impressed by his abilities in resolving this nasty injury’s are prized car’s can sustain. Everyone, promptly grabbed a business card, in case!!!!!!!!!!!

(Please view www.Autodents-dorset.co.uk)

The after a short pause, Noel gave a talk through on air conditioning (his forte), while showing us all the components that "keep you cool", then taking technical questions. (Please view, www.Coolitautomotive.com)

As we parted, several members then topped the day off with a pub lunch......

>> 01st May 2011 - Depart G.A.H 12.15 Prompt for 13.00 Lunch

10 Porsche and a Volvo left G.A.Hotel for a short scenic drive to Marks Hotel, The Bridge House Hotel, Prout Bridge, Beaminster. On route we took in the tunnel and the yummy noise that makes!... on arrival there were two more Porsche to swell the numbers, 26.5 members and their friends/family shared in the good company and yummy food. Please try the Hotel for yourself if you didn't get to attend as the atmosphere and food are just perrrrrrrrrfect.....

It was nice to meet Tan again, and her daughter Lucy, as well as Mike and his 944 Turbo for the 1st time.  After a chat and a couple of group pic's by the cars, Mark lead us to the garden area and treated us to a glass of bubbly, bubbly......  then we made our way to the main dinning area, all perfectly laid out for us.  I enjoyed the
sirloin of beef, followed by the dark chocolate pudding and a nawty choccy with a coffee...... all of which was top draw yum, that satisfied my tum!!! and that's a discerning tum...... so well done to Mark and his team....... and that's from US ALL, everyone I spoke with, loved the time spent at the meal.

Geoff was head of the "TOP" table, and poor Louise and Gary got lumbered with me!!!!! .... we shared a side splitting time, I saw a lot of happy faces with empty plates.......

After the meal was over, those of us who wanted to stay and chat we ushered back out to the garden area, we all shared a time of reflection of past events, as well as eager anticipation for forthcoming events.

I shared a giggle with Mark and a lady staff member, when she misheard my criticism of my "own, rubbish eye sight", which almost earned me a right hander!!!!  So all in all a, fun, exciting, chatty, yummy and tasty time. We parted looking forward to our next event at Cool-it.........

Look at the yum we enjoyed - View menu

>> 17th April 12pm, Depart G.A.H, Convoy leading to a warm....
Welcome to Region 26 by PCB at their showroom. PCB are kindly providing a buffet at 13.30

10 Porsche set off from G.A.Hotel heading for PCB on a lovely sunny afternoon, meeting up with two more cars on the Dorchester by-pass. Other than a few "small brained" over takers in their super charged 1ltr Fiesta's we had an event free drive. On arrival we were meet by many more R26 members and their cars, plus the warm, beaming faces of several PCB staff and their partners, ready to welcome us.
We had a bit of a racing heart on arrival, as when we saw the stunning show room, there was a Police car parked outside!!!! Were the Police there, to arrest Geoff or I for our bad jokes!!!!!! Lucky not.
We spent time meeting and greeting, looking over the cars we had arrived in and then the yummy new cars on display. Martin, Louise and all the other staff were on had to show us round as well as chat about all that PCB has to offer club members, and Porsche owners alike.

We all gathered round as Louise welcomed us, she shared what all the staff supporting her today, do within PCB, also sharing how long some have been at PCB, many, with a lot of years under their PCB belts. Also thanking us all for attending the day.
After a time of general chat we grabbed a seat on one of the many tables set out, and enjoyed a varied, yummy and truly nawty buffet. My diet went on hold!!!!!! then to top that we indulged our selves in cakes, (and YES, the chocciest, of chocolate cakes) and fruit salad.

PCB had set up an Easter egg hunt, Lois had the keenest eye and sense for choccy eggs, she was the winner of that one, then a very demanding (well, for me!) memory game, there were Porsche items on a table, we had 90 seconds to memorise them, then they were covered up again, there were 8 "clever clogs" who got them all, we invited our youngest member, Lois, to draw the winner, James was drawn to be the winner, winning a lovely Porsche teddy, Suzy quickly took over ownership of Mr Ted!!!!
As the event was drawing to a close, Tref thanked Louise and all at PCB for a wonderful time, our time there had whizzed by, faster than a twin turbo Porsche, we all filtered off home with a full tummy, and thoughts of all we had just shared, as well as some aspirationall goals to own the cars on display.

Note - R26 would like to thank PCB, its staff and management for the wonderful event they hosted for us, it was perfect, thank you.
