	LIFE ALTERING EXPERIENCES & THE GT3 We all like to think there are many times in our lives when the road takes a twist or a turn and we can pin point in that moment when life changes forever……….that day came for me July 17th 2007 when I brought home my GT3. ‘Blackie’ was always destined to join us some point in the future not quite definable…….and being a no half measures kind of person, it was clear we needed a no half measures kind of Porsche! It needed to have rear curves and lines to match my own and style too to compliment a myriad of leather outfits for all occasions and weather! It needed to be bold, slick and versatile, and fit in with the owner personality, ……there was no clearer message as I scoured the pages of the PORSCHE GT mag and Top Marques….. ‘IT HAS TO BE A GT3’!!! From a female perspective the car it simply great! It is rapid for a start, which can get me out of all sorts of sticky situations with amazing cornering around tightly packed bends…..The road holding is great, and the thrust makes for some pretty raunchy dual carriageway action! I believe it is THE most fun you can have with your clothes on!! (Grin)……….. On a more practical note (and I kid yee not), I even took it shopping to Homebase 2 weeks after I got it, (by mistake as I was going girly shopping)…… and allowing for the 5 packs of laminate flooring and three 10 litre tins of dulux crammed in the rear roll cage area and the weeks’ shopping, I still managed to leave a exasperated BMW 7 series driver scratching his head at we flew past wondering was it a bird or a plane?? In short……….it is a small rocket with no wings! And I LOVE IT!!! One last thing. The Lipstick mirrors…….They light up when I need to use them and I always wonder if the man who designed it had a woman in mind he designed it for. Or maybe he did it just for me? (grin)………………

	Simon's Ownership Question I am a proud owner of a 911 at long last. I purchased the car a few months ago and would be really appreciative if you could answer my only concern. Just proior to my purchase the brake pads had been replaced all round. Compared to other cars and my wife's Impreza, the brakes seem spongy and require a lot of pressure from my right foot. They are by no means sharp and reactive as one would think they should be. Would you say that this is normal ? Also the handbrake really needs to be pulled on hard, even with new handbrake pads. I used to own a Merc, and the brakes were completely different. Best wishes Reply Hi Simon I have had no problems with the brakes on my Porsche and find them more than adequate. 	Tref's Tales - My 944 is a replacement for one written off for me about 4 years ago. Its predecessor was paid for from the proceeds of giving up smoking for two years (and the money I would have spent on cigarettes has paid for the insurance ever since!). Unfortunately the insurance settlement didn’t really cover its replacement, and as such this one is...less than perfect. The bodywork is tatty around the edges, and has scratches in the paintwork leftover from the previous owner. As such, I have no qualms about using it. Whilst I would obviously be disappointed, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if it did pick up another ding in a supermarket car park – not that I take it into those places if I can avoid it. It is slowly being returned to its former glory, I’ll know when I have achieved this when I dare enter it into a street concour and it not look out of place! In the meantime, I can enjoy its driving qualities - Qualities I didn’t fully appreciate with it’s predecessor kept for sunny Sundays.

	Colin's Story My 1980 911 SC certainly looks the business to me in guards red, factory fitted sports pack from new, full service history, all MOT's and only 92000 miles on the clock. For the first two years my car was used nearly everyday, rain, frost or shine the car has never let me down, due to circumstances in the last year she now resides in my garage for long breaks, but at every opportunity I take her out for a spin. Even after nearly three years ownership I still drive it with pride. Something to make you cringe, on buying the 911 from a Dentist, he informed me that he had broken the handle off the ignition key so when mixing up denture paste he thought he would repair the key with it, so he did !!!






I hope that all the Porsche Owners and Porsche drivers who have enjoyed this web site share the site with their frinds who are car enthusiasts. The site provides a meeting place for any Porsche to display their owners car pictures. Many of these owners are also members of Porsche Club Great Britain, I am a member of Region 26 which is the number of the Dorset Region.
