We would
really like this car to go to an enthusiast, who will appreciate the
time and money that has been invested in the car so far, and maintain it
in a similar manner.

Overall the car isn’t "in your face", but none the less, still turns
heads as a very very nice car.
Performance wise it is very understated (admittedly the exhaust note
gives something away!). Superunleaded fuel makes a big difference. We
believe it is probably around 120 bhp, but very torquey.
There are a couple of negative points; there are a couple of dings
and a scratch. The car has previously had some light accident damage on
the front, we have replaced both front wings and bonnet – we have the
original bonnet available (only replaced as it was cheap, and sprayed at
the same time… the original is of better quality, and it would be better
to have it sprayed to match). You really need to see the car to see how
minor these dings and scratches are.
The car is due a service, and belt change (due to passing of time
rather than mileage!) This may have been done by the time you read this;
otherwise we will negotiate or change it before you collect the car.
Past experience suggests a chin spoiler would enhance the handling of
this car – whilst nothing wrong with it at the moment, we believe that
it really would be worthwhile – we haven’t done so as it would catch on
the entrance of its home in the carport.
The amplifier needs a higher power supply – the cable has been run,
final fusing and connections need to be made.
The jobs that are outstanding are all things that we were doing –
there has never been any urgency with this car, so nothing has been
rushed or bodged. All nuts and bolts have been copperslipped where
appropriate to make maintenance in the future a joy; indeed, this car is
an absolute pleasure to work on, for that I shall miss it!
Unfortunately, its replacement has arrived, and is taking up our time,
leaving the above jobs incomplete.
The car has no corrosion as far as we are aware, and has always
sailed through the MOT in this respect. It is usually garaged, otherwise
under a carport. It is probably polished with Zymol every 2-3 weeks, a
much-loved car.
We have always run the car on the original 9 spoke wheels, the tyres
on these are low, however, the car comes currently fitted with a set of
Pirelli wheels and matching tyres in very good condition, with plenty of
tread.
The car currently has an odometer reading of 133k, but this does not
really reflect the car’s condition.
