Several of us met up at Southern Counties Lodge, the rain was hammering down, so the fact that anyone turned up was amazing. After a warming HOT coffee we headed on a scenic drive to Sherborne Old Castle. As there was only seven cars on the run staying together was made easier in the HEAVY rain. When we arrived at Sherborne Old Castle we were allowed to line the Porsche cars in front of the Castle. Unfortunately as the castle has been in a state of ruin since 1646 we didn't have anywhere to shelter other than the gift shop or porta loo! This magnificent ruin is surrounded by lovely parkland which we all enjoyed photographing. Click each of the small eight images to view a larger image.

After a catch up chat at Sherborne Old Castle we headed of on the second leg of the scenic drive, the Porsche 911's and 944's were on there way to Compton Abbas Airfield. To top off the HEAVY RAIN we got stuck behind a tractor drivers day out and due to the weather there were NO light aircraft taking off and landing.
We sat and enjoyed
Compton Abbas Airfields bar and
restaurant, to re-fuel and dry out, and plan our next event for next
Sunday. Please be dry!
