We arrived at the museum at 11.15 and enjoyed a chat before viewing the
extensive and spotless collection of restored motorcycles. I was very
impresses being an
ex biker with the time and effort that must have gone into the
restoration of most of the bikes over the years as the museum has
developed.
Speaking from little (no experience) of motor cycle museum's there can be
none better than this, the lover of the up to date bike might be
disappointed but all those
who love old machinery and race heritage as well as the diverse bikes
that served the nation in war times will love it.
There were ex-factory
racers as well as prototypes,
I loved the small section in memory of Barry Sheene, (the only real No7) there must be 300+
motorcycles to view, so if you have anything from 2 hrs or a whole day spare get
along and enjoy the experience, you
could spend hours just looking at Sammy Millers trophy cabinets. |
