Our first regional concour at a venue not provided by a R26 member. Our last Concours was hosted in the beautiful grounds of our R.O. of the time.
All the worries the committee members had about low numbers on the day were quickly forgotten as Porsche after Porsche arrived at the gates of Kingston Lacy House. There were three interesting trade stands, not to mention the PCGB Club Shop, run by Dorset region members.

The event was held at Kingston Lacy House - Web Page www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-kingstonlacy/
The house provided wonderful grounds and a perfect setting for all the cars. One could also enjoy the gardens and refreshments available at the cafe within the courtyard setting; just right for that well needed refreshing drink and a "car related" chat.

There were five concours classes, all placed received a glass tumbler, please enjoy some of the moments captured above.

I was fortunate to be judged 2nd in the Street Senior class. A class for Porsche owners that have been placed in any other PCGB Councours events, other than the master class. Please view my lovely glass award. Most who attended supported the event by buying raffle tickets, the raffle had some great prizes, ranging from high tech cordless PC mouse's to PCGB shop merchandise. Porsche Centre Bournemouth had provided some official Porsche Cars clothing. And for those not driving home there was a bottle of whisky. Some interesting books related to Porsche ownership were also prizes.

It was a very well organised day, well supported by PCB who displayed a Porsche Cayman as well as a off/on road, Porsche Cayenne. The Cayman drew a lot of attention, the NEW BOY's always do.
Cool-It showed various upgrades available for your car, from cabin cooling to effortless stopping with ceramic brakes. Marque21 talked through the opportunities they can provide for race and restoration on any make of sports car. John Drake were also on hand selling all the magical bottles and cloths for keeping your car looking just like the day it was bought.

All involved with the days organisation and judging worked hard to get the day set up and running. Well done for working through all the cars that the PCGB members had so keenly entered into the different classes.

A BIG pat on the back must go to Tref and Claire who needed GOOD quality running shoes, for the way they moved about monitoring and Keeping the event on track from start to finish.
