This was my first run down to the South West's concours,
an event I had meant to get to last year but couldn't. Several of us
Porsche owners met up in Dorchester for a drive down to the river dart
area in convoy. We enjoyed an "event less"
drive down stopping at Exeter services for a refreshment break and chat.
Many service station users popped by for a close look at the Porsche cars on the run
down the M5.
We did have a laugh at the expense of a poor
inadequate BMW owner who we saw coming down the dual carriage way towards
us at SLOW speed, the next thing he was flooring it to the next
roundabout and coming back past us in a totally wreck less manner. All to
go home and say "I burnt of seven Porsche's" wow. . . .
Having said that ALL the BMW owners I chatted to at the concour were
very friendly, as with bad Porsche drivers, you can't tar us all with
the same brush. When we arrived at the event which had many
Porsche's on display, there were lots of Porsche owners cleaning and preparing
their cars for the different concour classes to be judged during the
day..
The event / venue was
run by the Region 15 member's,
Garry
Steele (Regional
Organiser) and his team played out a seamless event. They
had provided a very professional event, well laid out, which also
worked very well. R15's Concours was held within the grounds of the River Dart
Adventure Park.
