Friday 29th August 2003
We arrived at 15.00 to see many different Porsches arriving, parking at
a premium but as we were staying in Eynsham hall we were able to park
outside until Saturday morning when the 40 year line up of 911's would
be set up.
We signed in and found our way through the maze of stairs and corridors;
we were located at the rear of Eynsham hall with a great view of all the
enthusiasts setting up at the rear of the hall.
After a coffee we explored the displays and found it very interesting
seeing everything being set up, and all the time and effort that goes
into it. Even better to sit with a monster ice cream and look on.
I practically enjoyed seeing two GT3's being unloaded and prepared by
Porsche Cup Racing.
We went out on the front lawns of Eynsham Hall and was very
interested to chat to the proud owner of a new Cayenne, we found that he
was the very proud owner of the three Porsche tractors that were
displayed at the entrance to the hall.
We then looked into the set up and time-table for the buffet meal
tonight and the dinner dance tomorrow. We found that we needed to
register our liking for a table position for the dinner Saturday
evening; it was quite something to see Porsche family names on the plan
for the green room. We chatted to a couple who were finding their feet
as well, we then all booked our seats in the Green room.
After a while we set out to the health club and looked at all the
facilities prior to going for a swim.

After a very refreshing swim we prepared for the evening buffet,
watching Darren Campbell in his final before heading down.
The buffet provided in the Porsche Club package was very nice and a
choice of two meals was on offer, after that and the sweet, all was well
in the world. Most people retired to the bar / room after the meal. |
