21st April 2005 |
Our 1st official meeting as the DORSET Region,
at our new venue, Folke Golf Centre. What great support we got from
our regular PCGB members as well five Porsche owners who came along
to have a look and test the water.
We
enjoyed a line up of 15 Porsche cars with 26 members, unfortunately
a few of our members came in none Porsche cars. We then focused on
our country sports day that will be held on the 08th May this year
at the Eweleaze Farm, Martinstown.
We also chatted about an event we have been
invited to help support at Poole by a PCGB member from London, we
will be able to display at least twenty Porsche cars along Poole
Quay on a summers evening in June.
Many offered their support to the Brands
Hatch event and the Bowood House tri concours, we also voted to
support the R17 regional concours at
Bartley Lodge.
Well all I can say
is that if this is the beginning and we have this level of
commitment from local and visiting members what does the future hold
to the Dorset Region, late nights and lots of calls and emails!
The only way is
UP........,
Please view a couple of pictures from the evening,

17th February 2005 |
Our 10th meeting, wow, where do I start, we
had the best meeting due to some MONSTER news, we were visited by
the PCGB chairman who gave us the news that we have been rewarded by
getting our official DORSET region back after 10 months or being
without our local region. Well done all to get this achievement. |

16th December 2004 |
Our 8th meeting, only 14 truly hardy members
attended. Yet again welcomed another new face to the group that
meets regularly.
Unfortunately it was to, Ka, Ka, cold to stand outside and enjoy the
cars, to stay in and chat was the order of the day. Well done all
that made it along.

19th August 2004 |
The fourth meeting, fewer attended than last
month but we welcomed yet another new face with his 911SC, Gordon C
enjoyed his first meet and was very keen to take part.
Once enjoying the cars in the car park was over we enjoyed the pubs
surroundings and talked through the
opportunities for event in the remainder of this year and what's to
come in 2005.
We laughed our way through the Karting Event
we had enjoyed on Sunday 1st August, we were so pleased to have had a team
come in 4th place, please see our
Karting page for more info. Another
great evening had by all.

16th July 2004 |
Our third get together since our move from the
last venue, we are very pleased to share with you that we had 29
Porsche enthusiasts attend with 18 lovely Porsche cars in toe. 3 who
attended were new comers, so anyone thinking of coming along don't
be shy! We talked through the
opportunities PCGB have proposed and were brought up to speed with
the information. We ironed out the details for the Karting Event
that is to be run on Sunday 1st August, as well as a drive to Brands
at the very end of August.
Great evening, well done to all who
attended, and come along in the future.

17th June 2004 |
Our Second meeting at the Coach And Horses, well done all, another good turnout.
We chatted about forth coming events and
arranged a nine car drive to the Region 17 Regional Concours on the
4th July. Hopefully we might gather a few more up prior to the
event. Many of us supported the event last year and it was a lovely
hot day with great cars and good company.
We pencilled in a group drive to Brands on
the Sunday 29th Aug, times and places to meet will follow. We also
hit upon running a local Concours at one of the members homes,
several who attended were keen to physically assist with its set up
and running.
A few of our KEEN RACER's also were KEEN to
arrange a carting afternoon or evening, the date and times to be
forwarded, payment required in advance for this event. 11 of those
attending put their
names down to drive and all the others agreed to go along and
support the event, once formalised a offer to other Porsche owners
will be made for a drivers competition. |

Our first local meeting went very well, as you will see from the
several pictures above a lovely evening to share our cars with each
other. Lots of thoughts were chatted over while enjoying a drink at
the Coach And Horses.
Many who attended were saddened and shocked by the demise of our old
meeting location and official Porsche Club label. All who attended
keenly want to keep meeting in our local area as well as doing our
utmost to support the two nearest regions of PCGB.
We agreed to set up a drive to Bowood House to
support the
Concours for REGIONS 13,14,16 & 26.
Please see our page about Bowood.
