My second trip to support and take part with the
Region 17 event, as with last years event it was planned and executed very
well. Unfortunately the weather was poor and this may have frightened off
a few from coming along. I arrived at the
Concours with five other cars that had met up at Dorchester to drive up
as a group, what a reaction you get from other road users as six
Por-Sha's drive past. Other people who are based in our area of the
larger region arrived later or were there already preparing their cars.
The event was held at Bartley Lodge, the venue
for the Region throughout the year. The grounds are a perfect setting
for the cars as well as a great venue just to meet for a drink and a
"car related" chat.
There were six classes and all placed received a trophy, enjoy some
of the moments captured below.

| I was fortunate
to be judged 1st in class 4. Class 4 was water cooled, rear and mid
engined, Boxster & 911(996) all variants of both,
please view my lovely silver award.
Most who attended supported the event by buying raffle tickets, the
raffle had some great prizes, I had my eye on the tin of chocolate biscuits!
The PCGB shop was on site and sold all the
bits and pieces a club member would ever need, all of us buying
cigarette lighters even though we don't smoke just because the
lighters look so cool! Also cutting ourselves on the PCGB swiss army
knives.
Once again a well organised day, well
supported by Porsche Centre Bournemouth again, the new name for the
dealership where I bought my Carrera 4s some two years ago. Amongst
other
businesses that attended and supported the event were FW Jesty, the
official repairs in our region for Porsche cars.
Also John Drake Models, Mitcheldever Tyres and
Doug Pounds Retro Clothing and Southbound Interior Trimmers provided
their support.
All involved with the days organisation and judging
worked hard to get the day set up, well done for working through all the cars that
the PCGB members had so keenly entered.
